"Nice to meet you"

Pascal Blondeau and Michael Shaowanasai met in 2008, at the residence of the French Ambassador to Thailand. In different but complementary ways, these two artists question the beauty of Men. Using a flash on our society, they photograph its shadows. "Nice to meet you" is the artistic product of their coming together, an exhibition of mirrored reflections, the portrait of one by the other.

Pascal Blondeau studied Fine arts, set design and photography in France. His work deals with the power of beauty and its impact on our society, Deliberately "aesthetic", the photos of Pascal Blondeau have a "touched up" look which remarkably illustrates the dominating role that cosmetic surgery has taken in our life and the superficiality of our lives. Real-unreal, the work by Pascal Blondeau is a mirror before which each one of us must question ourselves.

Michael Shaowanasai studied Fine arts in Thailand and the United States. Photographer, actor or performer, Michael Shaowanasai prefers to call himself an observer. He looks at the world around him, the people in it, who express themselves. He scrutinises the living and makes an artistic commentary. He constantly pushes the limits that morality forces upon us, wanting the evolution of a society that is excessively puritan. His work is a portrait of humanity.
